RVLIS HYDRAULICS. I&C Training Programs

RVLIS HYDRAULICS. I&C Training Programs

About this course

A combination of classroom and laboratory maintenance and problem-solving exercises will be performed using equipment similar to that found in the plant.

Hydraulic training equipment is available to enable students to perform hands-on operations of the hydraulic system, including alignments and filling of the system, and return the system to operational status.

After students have been exposed to the hydraulic components found in the RVLIS system, they are provided with a detailed understanding of the hydraulic operation of the system. This portion of the course is introduced by covering the system’s piping diagrams and interconnect wiring diagrams and followed by additional lab exercises during which students are asked to calibrate the boards in the cabinet until the system is functional and provides proper prompts.

Course Schedule:

  • System layout, sensors, isolators, d/p transmitters, RTDs, and pressure inputs; electronics cabinet inputs and system outputs; remote display; system alarms, isolator limits, pump status, local and remote displays.
  • Detailed operation of valves, transmitters, isolators, and sensors; system hydraulics scaling and transmitter calibrations; normal operating parameters from cold shutdown to 100% power.
  • Field sensor periodic maintenance items; demonstration and maintenance labs; system access.
  • Deaeration techniques, vacuum fill of training system, isolator limit switch settings; system calibration using hydraulics simulator.
  • Exam Review, Exam.
