OVATION SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION TRAINING. I&C Training Programs

This course is intended for system engineers and senior I&C technicians. All students attending must have completed the Westinghouse Ovation(TM) Engineering Training Course, the Ovation Maintenance Training Course, or equivalent training.

This course is intended for engineers and senior I&C technicians that have completed the Westinghouse OvationTM Engineering Training Course, the Ovation(TM) Maintenance Training Course, or equivalent training.

The training program is offered using a combination of student-centered classroom presentations and hands-on learning, using a Westinghouse-supplied Ovation training system. This course is taught at the utility site on the Westinghouse training system with a generic Ovation(TM) configuration. Some site specific example applications will be loaded on the training system to help the student bridge the gap from training to plant application.

Course Schedule:

• Day 1: Review of Ovation(TM) – review of the plant system architecture, communication, and networking – Developer Studio Tree.
• Day 2: Developer Studio Tree (continued) – Ovation network communications – IP addressing in Ovation(TM).
• Day 3: Control Options; importing and exporting graphics and control, reconcile, compile, publish, creating and comparing baselines – Ovation(TM) security – Troubleshooting Ovation network communications – Troubleshooting exercises.
• Day 4: Ovation(TM) installation and configuration lab – Configuring Ovation(TM) hardware – Backing up the Ovation(TM) system – System backup and recovery lab.
• Day 5: Ovation(TM) Troubleshooting exercises – Course review – Written exam.
